Rajasthan “gajre” bracelet, India
Heavy old bracelet from Rajasthan, India.
It was handmade using a traditional technique called “goli” or “gajre”, very small silver massive balls which are not welded to the base, but attached with a silver wire, giving them some slight movement.
Women in Rajasthan usually wear them in pairs one on each arm or several on each arm.
From mid-XXth Century or older.
It’s a hinged bracelet, that can be easily fastened with a pin.
The inner perimeter of the bracelet is 20,5 cm round (8,07 in). Inner diameter is 63 mm.
