Madhya Pradesh brass anklet

Cast-brass two-part anklet (chura) worn in pairs by Gond women in Chhindwara District, in Madhya Pradesh, India. After casting, the anklets’ surface is turned on a hand lathe and the two parts joined by inserted rods.
