Armenian head ornament

Armenian headdress, inset with colorful glass beads. The pendants in circular shape symbolizes the new moon (nor).

The headdress is worn on the top of the head over a fez and it is called tasak. Similar examples were worn  in several territories under Ottoman Empire influence, with regional characteristics.

From early 20th century. It is in very good condition with  no parts or pendants missing.

Low grade silver and cotton.
