Glass “Faqash” necklace, Egypt
A two strand necklace called “Faqash”. According to Azza Fahmy, this kind of necklace is worn in the Dakhla and Kharga Oases, on the wedding day among six more beads necklaces.
The beads in the “faqash” are made of thin glass painted gold from the inside and easily smashed by hand.
From the second half of the 20th Century.
