Gilded silver anklets, Indonesia
Pair of silver anklets, “called Geland kaki” with embossed decoration, most probably from the Peranakan community of Indonesia. The ends represent lotus buds. Both of them have a hallmark (illegible) stamped.
This kind of anklets are widely worn in the area, also by Burmese and Indo-Malay women.
From the first half of the XXth Century.
