Gold earrings, Central Flores, Indonesia
Leaf-shaped ear pendants called wea wunu wona from the Nagé people of Central Flores, Indonesia.
Fringed with fine, tightly coiled openwork filigree. They display striation and linear patterns on gold sheet, reminiscent of leaves, shoot, stalks and woven plant fibers.
Gold content between 14kt and 18 kt (tested)
From the 19th century or early 20th.
