Gold tali, South India

A 22 kt gold marriage pendant from South India, “Tali”, worn by women in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. This kind of pendants are not massive gold, they usually have a lac core.

The purity of gold is 22 kt (it bears a 22kt hallmark, see pictures)

From the early 20th century.

The size of the pendant is 2,6 x 1,4 x 1 cm

It weighs 3,3 gr.
