Gold tali pendant, South India

A gold marriage pendant from South India, worn by women in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. This kind of pendants are not massive gold, they usually have a lac core.

Purity of gold is 22 kt.

From early 20th century or earlier.

Provenance: Spanish private collection.
