Silver and carnelian bazuband, Middle East
Old “bazuband” used as an amulet, inset with etched carnelian gemstones. The etchings on the stones are inscriptions or Quoran verses, that are meant to protect the person wearing the bazuband. It is used attached with strings to the upper part of the arm.
High-grade silver. In good conditions, one of the hinges doesn’t go all the way as the other one.
From the beginning of the XXth century or earlier.
