Jaisalmer big traditional silver necklace, Rajasthan, India

Big traditional silver necklace from Jaisalmer, in Rajasthan, India. It consists of top triangular spacers connecting chains of flowers links and loops with central amulet container and bells. Stamped applied units are gold plated and set with green, blue and red glass faceted “stones”.

Gilded high-grade silver and glass.

From first half to mid 20th century.

In good conditions according to age and wear. Some glass insets are missing, and there are some slight dents and a small crack in one of the 2 silver beads close to the pendant.

Size of the pendant: 15 x 6 cm (5,9 x 2,36 in)
Lenght from the pendant to the top (without the cotton cord): 40 cm (15,75 in)
Each side of the necklace is 8,5 cm wide (3,35 in)
The necklace is adjustable with a slipknot.

It weighs 497 gr.
