Old Turkoman ring with inscribed carnelian
Impressive old silver ring from Central Asia, with oval bezel.
A large carnelian inscribed in Arabic calligraphy is set in a wide silver band, a thin twisted wire running around the base of the stone. The band is decorated with spirals and silver braids. The whole ring have a soft and intense patina.
High-grade silver, and a big old carnelian bead on top.
From the 19th century or early 20th.
