Rajasthan gajre old silver bracelet, India
A matching set of 5 pendants that are tied together with wool strings and worn above the elbow. From Rajasthan, India. They were handmade using a traditional technique called “goli” or “gajre”, small silver hollow balls which are not welded to the base, but attached with a silver wire, giving them some slight movement.
Very good quality, high-grade silver. The stringing is newer than the pendants.
From mid 20th Century or earlier.
The women in Rajasthan usually wear this sort of bracelets in pairs one on each arm or several on each arm.
