Silver “manthura” necklace, Oman
The manthura necklace was the most ornate and valuable piece of silver worn by women of the Nothern interior. It was widely recognized as coming from Rustaq area, whose silsversmiths specialised in making it, although it was admired, acquired and worn much more widely.
Materials: high grade silver and cotton.
From the first half of the 20th century.
