Turkmen “Dagdan”pendant, Central Asia
Big gilded silver pectoral amulet “Dagdan” from the Tekke tribe, a subgroup of the Turkoman people inhabiting Central Asia. It is worn, not only around the neck, but also on other parts of the body, especially when it is smaller in size.
Material: silver, gilded silver, glass and amber (one missing) in almond shape cabochon, blue glass imitating turquoise.
Age: the beginning of the XXth century or earlier.
