Turkoman head ornament, Central Asia

A fire-gilded silver head ornament, called Sinsile, which was worn attached to the Turkmen women’s headdress. This particular headband belongs most probably to the Ersari tribe.

Made of high-grade silver, gilded silver, and carnelian in cabochon cut.

From the 1st half of the XXth century.

In good condition. Nice worn patina.
