A wodden comb insert with bone carved decorations, from Tanimbar, Maluku Islands (Indonesia). Similar combs were used in neighbouring islands, under different names and with different kinds of decoration.
These wood combs were used by hunters. The bone carvings represents a naga serpent-dragon with a gaping mouth.
